Web-based Development and Submission of NIH K Award Applications to Grants.gov Available in Cayuse424 version 3.6

Portland, Oregon: Cayuse, Inc., a provider of Web-based grant proposal solutions for research organizations, has announced that version 3.6 of Cayuse424 allows researchers to prepare and submit grant applications for the NIH K (Career) awards via Grants.gov. This version of Cayuse424 extends Cayuse’s mission of streamlining the research funding process to new and early-state scientific researchers.

NIH Career Award proposals, which can no longer be submitted in paper format, fund training and mentoring opportunities, equipment, and education for new biomedical investigators. Now, new investigators can easily submit applications for funding using a sophisticated Web platform that requires no software installation and is available immediately through a Web browser.

"This version of Cayuse424 underscores our commitment to U.S. researchers by supporting their efforts to win grant awards", said Chris Harker, President of Cayuse, Inc. "Since our beginning 15 years ago, Cayuse has been focused on reducing the overhead associated with grant proposal development and submission. We're pleased that our solution now includes the K Awards so critical to new investigators".

Cayuse424 reduces the time spent preparing and submitting grant applications. A sophisticated validation system checks the entire application for errors, ensuring successful submissions. There are hundreds of productivity features built-in, such as the ability to auto-fill fields with institutional information, calculate multi-year budgets, manage and apply fringe rates, calculate indirect costs based on the institution’s rate agreements, and more.

In addition to supporting the NIH K Awards, Cayuse424 release 3.6 also expands support to nearly every federal agency that offers grant and funding opportunities via Grants.gov. This release represents another major step in Cayuse’s commitment to deliver a single, comprehensive Web-based service that facilitates federal grant applications.

Cayuse is currently offering a complimentary version of Cayuse424 to research institutions that want to offer streamlined proposal development to faculty applying for the K Awards.
