Cayuse, Inc. Releases Cayuse424 Version 3.5 for Web-based Preparation of Federal Grant Applications via Grants.gov | September 4, 2008

Expands to Over 90% Coverage of Grants.gov; Includes Online Collaboration for Preparing and Merging Subaward Proposals

Portland, Oregon: Cayuse, Inc., a provider of Web-based grant proposal solutions for research organizations, has released version 3.5 of its flagship product, Cayuse424. With this release, customers can prepare, validate, and submit grant applications for over 90% of the federal funding opportunities posted on Grants.gov, the federal government’s central grant site. Cayuse424 is the most mature and most widely used commercial front-end to Grants.gov.

Cayuse424 version 3.5 expands support to nearly every federal agency that offers grant and funding opportunities via Grants.gov. This release represents another major step in Cayuse’s commitment to deliver a single, comprehensive Web-based service that facilitates federal grant applications.

In concert with this upgrade, Cayuse has also enhanced Subawards.com, a free Web application. On Subawards.com, proposal developers can complete their subcontracting budgets online, with an advanced set of online budget tools and error-checking validations. They can also enter other federally required grant application information which can then be imported into a prime proposal by a partner institution.

Subawards.com has been opened to other integrators, allowing S2S vendors and institutions to import subaward proposal data created on Subawards.com into their proposal systems. This supports Cayuse’s goal of extending Web-based collaboration on research proposals based on XML and an open architecture to the entire research community.

Institutional collaboration on federal grant proposals and awards is increasing, and a large percentage of grant applications contain at least one subcontractor, or "subaward."
