Overall, Cayuse is a great product and it has made our jobs easier. And hallelujah that NSF is going to Grants.gov and that Cayuse handles that too.
Cayuse424 Version 4.0 New Features
Cayuse424 version 4.0 extends Cayuse's leadership in web-based preparation and submission of federal grant opportunities. With version 4.0, Cayuse424 supports approximately 95% of the funding opportunities on Grants.gov.
Form Updates and New OpportunitiesCayuse424 version 4.0 delivers a long list of updates to federal forms and opportunities, known in the Grants.gov community as Adobe Forms-B. These changes are effective for all NIH Parent Opportunities with due dates of January 25, 2010 and later. See the NIH notice for more information. All form changes, validation updates and other related changes associated with the migration to Adobe Forms-B are included in version 4.0 and delivered automatically to all Cayuse users.
NRSA Training Grant OpportunitiesThe NIH's National Research Service Award (NRSA) Institutional Training Grant opportunities are now fully supported in Cayuse424 version 4.0. The first Training submission deadline is January 25, 2010. Cayuse customers can prepare, validate and submit their Training grant applications electronically.
Adobe Subawards ImportCayuse customers can import subaward budgets from subaward proposals created in Grants.gov's downloadable Adobe form packages. Cayuse424 imports the budget numbers directly from the Adobe package and adds them to the budget in the prime or master budget.
Cayuse customers can also import subaward budgets and more from Subaward proposals created in Subawards.com, a free service from Cayuse for Cayuse customers and their subcontractors. Subawards imported from Subawards.com have the added benefit the Cayuse validation engine, which detects errors. See the Subawards.com site for more detail.
Usability EnhancementsVersion 4.0 contains a series of usability enhancements, including the ability to open proposals in "read only" mode.
