Accessibility – Cayuse

Our mission is to empower organizations to conduct globally connected research and sponsored projects, advancing their impact on science, discovery, and society.

Cayuse is committed to digital accessibility, to conforming to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, and to complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) effective communication requirements and other applicable regulations. Every new feature we develop is designed with accessibility in mind to benefit all customers. Cayuse prioritizes accessibility improvements based on the number of people using a workflow, and for existing features we provide an ongoing record of accessibility improvements to demonstrate our steady progress toward full accessibility.

To accomplish this, we partnered with a third party – supported by a diverse team of accessibility professionals, including users of assistive technologies – whose accessibility program audited our digital products on a recurring basis for WCAG 2.1 AA compliance. This partnership helped us identify our inaccessible patterns, afforded best practice resolution recommendations, and has been key to informing our pattern library so that the consistent components we develop with have accessible patterns built-in.

As accessibility issues are identified in audit outcomes, Cayuse works to fix critical and high priority issues within one year. As these accessibility fixes are confirmed via progression audit and/or new issues are found, VPATs are updated to represent to what extent our solutions pass WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards.

We also recommend running Cayuse applications on the most recent versions of Chrome, Safari, or Firefox. Cayuse does not recommend running our applications on Microsoft Internet Explorer or out-of-date browsers.

We want to hear from you if you encounter any accessibility barriers on our digital properties. Please contact us at team(at)cayuse.com.
