Portland, OR, February 21, 2022 – Cayuse, provider of the market-leading research administration cloud platform, welcomes Spelman College, a private, historically Black women’s college in Atlanta, Georgia, to our global research community. Spelman College is a global leader in the education of women of African descent and has affirmed its commitment to research excellence by investing in several Cayuse solutions, including Sponsored Projects, Proposals, Fund Manager, Project Effort, Human Ethics, and the Cayuse Platform.
Prior to Cayuse, the research team at Spelman College relied on an on-prem, homegrown system that had been developed and maintained internally. As the research velocity and needs increased, it became evident that they needed something more advanced and less reliant on their internal team to support.
“Cayuse has a strong reputation in the higher education community, so it was an obvious choice to include them in our evaluation of potential vendors,” shared Tasha R. Inniss, Associate Provost for Research at Spelman College. “Then, when we had the opportunity to see Cayuse in action, we were immediately impressed with how user-friendly and integrated the solutions are, resulting in a seamless process. With the recent establishment of the Spelman Awards, Grants & Gifts Ecosystem, the Cayuse platform will facilitate the effective coordination of offices from across campus to provide the best experience for the Spelman community.”
With Cayuse supporting the Spelman College team, they are now able to confidently increase research activities and further solidify their stature as global leaders in this space. Cayuse will make it easier for the research team to increase proposals and submissions, secure more funding, maintain compliance, and improve the overall workflow and effectiveness across the funding lifecycle.
“We are thrilled to support such a prestigious institution,” commented Matt McLellan, CEO at Cayuse. “Spelman College is truly paving a path for women in research and we are honored to be a part of that journey.”
Cayuse empowers organizations to conduct globally connected research and modernize research administration.
