Portland, OR, February 7, 2022 – Cayuse, a global provider of the market-leading research administration cloud platform, and the University of Northern Colorado (UNC), a public university in Greeley, Colorado, have partnered to gain greater insight into graduate school performance and effectiveness. With the aid of Cayuse Graduate Education Manager and Repository, UNC is better equipped to support graduate school students and faculty and expand their efforts to deliver optimal education, collaboration, and insights across all of its programs.
“Our graduate programs are growing rapidly, which means the needs of our students and faculty are increasing as well,” commented Jeri-Anne Lyons, Graduate School Dean and Associate Vice President of Research at University of Northern Colorado. “With Cayuse Graduate Education Manager, we now have greater insight into our programs and can make data-driven decisions proactively that will support the growth and success of our students, faculty and staff involved.”
Prior to Cayuse, the team at UNC struggled with manual processes that made it difficult to offer the level of support they desired. As the Graduate School grew, the challenges compounded, not only causing frustration but also limiting the team’s ability to be proactive in managing the needs of students and faculty. Both Lyons and Associate Dean Cindy Wesley had experience with homegrown systems at previous universities, which prompted the decision to seek out an alternative option.
Cayuse provides the only solution specifically designed for graduate schools, which made it an obvious choice to evaluate. UNC needed a solution that would not only increase visibility into student persistence and time-to-degree completion, but also streamline processes and help increase the school’s research footprint. UNC needed a solution that could perform the same functions that Lyons and Wesley experienced with previous homegrown systems. Cayuse delivered a solution that met all of these needs and more.
“Cayuse’s Graduate Education Manager exceeded our expectations,” Jeri added. “With Cayuse, we will be able to scale our graduate school programs and our student’s research efforts with ease. We will also have the transparency and clarity we need to understand what’s happening at every stage of the graduate student experience, and be proactive in making the journey even better.”
“UNC has set a high standard for graduate school programs and we are thrilled to support their efforts,” shared Cayuse CEO, Matt McLellan.
